Background

Marina Bay Sands is more than just a hotel—it’s an architectural icon, a cultural hub, and a global destination that welcomes millions of visitors each year. But while its physical experience was second to none, its digital presence was falling behind.

MBS needed a website that could match the scale of its reputation: a platform that not only informed but inspired, guiding visitors from exploration to booking with ease.

Our Role

We collaborated closely with MullenLowe, taking ownership of the user experience and interface design across the project. Our roles included:

  • User Experience (UX) Designer
  • Interaction Designer (IxD)
  • User Interface (UI) Designer

Design Approach

We set out to translate the luxury, sophistication, and scale of Marina Bay Sands into a digital experience that is both aspirational and functional.

Understanding the User

Through competitive analysis, user journeys, and task flows, we identified key opportunities to reduce friction in navigation and booking while showcasing the breadth of offerings—from hotel stays and fine dining to entertainment and attractions.

Structuring the Experience

We developed a comprehensive site map and information architecture that simplified discovery, improved wayfinding, and aligned with user intent across different entry points.

Designing the Journey

From low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, we crafted a scalable design system and 20 flexible page templates that balanced brand expression with usability. Every interaction was designed to feel seamless, whether on desktop or mobile.

Bringing the Brand to Life

The UI design brought the essence of MBS into the digital space—sophisticated, luxurious, yet accessible. Through careful typography, imagery, and interaction patterns, we ensured the website not only informed but also inspired.
